About Heat Pumps

A water heating heat pump (WHHP) is a device which extracts heat from the ambient air and transfers this heat, together with the electrical energy required to power the device, to water at a higher temperature. WHHPs are extremely energy efficient: for every 1 kW transferred to the water they consume only about 0.33 kW electricity! This implies an efficiency of about 300%, which brings about huge energy saving when heating water. WHHPs are widely used for heating sanitary water for homes, hotels, lodges, guest houses, hostels, mining ablution facilities, hospitals, old age homes and gyms.

The AH series of domestic heat pumps employs state of the art technology that ensures the efficient generation of environmentally friendly hot water.  This range is capable of generating hot water without the use of auxiliary heating from electrical elements. State of the art technology includes an electronically controlled expansion valve (EEV).  The intelligent control algorithms ensure that the internal flow rate of the refrigerant is optimized via the EEV to deliver unmatched efficiency and reliability even in low winter ambient temperatures.

The critical structural components of the units are firstly treated by an electrophoresis process before the final weather coating is done.  This ensures that the units are more resistant to corrosion than just plain powder coating. The structural components of the polymer casing units are hot-dip-galvanized to ensure better corrosion resistance
