Overview

Sunray Power Company will be presenting its next Solar Training Course at “The Retreat” in Roma, Lusaka, on 7 & 8 October. The training is geared towards individuals who would like to start their own solar business, solar sales engineers and technical staff involved with the design, installation, monitoring and maintenance of solar systems.

Registration and Cost

Date: 7 & 8 October 2020

Cost of the course is K1000 per person. This includes course notes and tea/coffee during the morning break but excludes lunch. However, lunch is available at the venue for those who which to order it.

Please note that space is limited to 40 people and preference will be given to the first group of people who have fully paid.

Schedule

  • First Morning Session: 8:30 – 10:30
  • Morning Break: 10:30 – 11:00
  • Second Morning Session: 11:00 – 13:00
  • Lunch: 13:00 – 14:00
  • First Afternoon Session: 14:00 – 15:00
  • Afternoon Break: 15:00-15:30
  • Second Afternoon Session: 15:30 – 17:00

Presenter

Dr. Gideon Greyvenstein has been an engineering educator and researcher for more than 25 years. He specializes in the field of energy systems design and led the development of several engineering products that are used by leading international companies. He has been active in the solar industry for the past 8 years.

Assistant Presenter

Mr. Tymen Nagel holds a Bachelors’ degree in mechanical engineering. He worked as project engineer at Kentz Engineers and Constructors, before joining Sunray in 2013. He is currently Senior Project Engineer at Sunray where he led the design and installation of several solar projects.

Participants can choose to write an exam at the end of the basic training after which they will receive a certificate of achievement upon successful completion.

Successful completion of the training course is a prerequisite for participation in Sunray’s Partnership Program.
